Galaxy Trucker

  • 2-4 players
  • 2-5 players with the expansion

Setup

  • Components face down in a pile
  • Flight board off to side
  • Randomly choose 8 adventure cards and split into 3 piles
  • Players take:
    • Starting color cabin
    • Ship #1 board

Game Turn

  • Build Phase
    • Start timer and place on current round indicator
      • After the initial timer runs out any player at any time can flip it over to the next lowest indicator.
      • Only a finished player (with # token) can flip timer onto start space
    • First player done takes #1 token and so on
  • Flight Preparation
    • Spot check (two variants)
      • Lenient
        • If flaw found, return # token and fix mistake
        • Redistribute # tokens
      • Harsh
        • Players remove components until ship is fixed
        • Removed components go in lost pile and must be payed for
    • Place humans, aliens & batteries on ship
    • Shuffle adventure cards together
  • Flight Phase
    • Go through adventure deck
    • Flaws found during flight phase
      • Correct mistake as above
      • Pay 1 cred for violating the laws of physics
    • Players may give up
    • Players may HAVE to give up (rules, page 14)
  • End of Flight
    • Pay out bonuses
    • Cash in goods
    • Pay for losses

Goal

  • Most credits wins.
  • Credits from:
    • Winning specific cards during flight
    • Being farther ahead at the end of the flight
    • Having prettiest ship (least # of open connectors)
    • Cashing in goods
  • Credit loss from:
    • Paying for lost components

Game End

  • After 3 flights are taken
