Dune
- 2-6 players
Setup
- Each player selects a faction
- Remove unused faction's from the Traitor deck
- Deal 4 Traitor cards to each player. Take note of any of your leaders, these are loyal. Select 1 card and discard the rest to the Traitor deck. Shuffle the Traitor deck.
- Take Spice as noted on your Faction sheet.
- Place forces on the map as noted on your Faction Sheet.
- Storm token goes on storm start place.
- Players on either side of the storm each take a combat wheel and select a number secretly. Reveal the numbers and add them together and move the storm that number of spaces counter-clockwise. This counts as the first storm phase of turn 1.
Game Turn
- Phase 1 - Storm
- The 2 players who last used the combat wheels each dial a number between 1 and 3. Reveal, add them, and move the storm that number of spaces counter-clockwise.
- Any forces in a sand sector (except Imperial Basin) where the storm moves are killed and moved to the Tleilaxu tanks. Also any spice is removed.
- Forces in a storm (but protected) are locked this turn.
- The first player is the player who the storm is approaching next.
- Phase 2 - Spice Blow
- Reveal top card of the spice deck and add spice to that territory. Spice does not get added to the storm. In the first turn only: If a Shai-Hulud gets drawn, keep drawing until you get a non-sandworm card and shuffle the sandworm cards back into the deck.
