Galactic Emperor
- 3-6 players
Setup
- Place home sectors and Omega Sun tile on the board
- Each player chooses a color and:
- Takes all ships, reference card, storage facility, large home starbase and a certain # of empire tokens:
- 3 players = 11 tokens
- 4 players = 10 tokens
- 5 players = 9 tokens
- 6 players = 8 tokens
- Place 1 fighter and home starbase on home sector
- Take 5 marks
- Take 1 blue metal cube
- Take 1 yellow energy cube
- Set black hole title aside
- Separate sector tiles, plain & atomic symbol
- Include unused home sectors
- Shuffle and place each stack face down
- Place black hole on atomic pile
- Place plain pile on top of black hole
- Turn 1 sector face up for each person playing + 1 more
- Place technology cards face up
- Place role cards face up
- Take a certain number of victory point tokens depending on # of players:
- 3 players = 115 points
- 4 players = 130 points
- 5 players = 145 points
- 6 players = 160 points
- Throne card goes to random player
Game Turn
- Beginning of round:
- Throne holder decides direction
- Starting with the throne holder everyone takes a role and in turn everyone takes that action
- The rounds ends when the last person takes a role and everyone takes that action
- End of round:
- If Explorer role was not chosen, turn up 1 more sector tile
- Put all chosen roles back in the pool
- Each player receives 2 marks from the bank
- Pass the direction card to the player who holds the throne
Goal
- Player with the most victory points wins
- Victory points are earned from:
- During the game:
- Defeating a player in battle (Warlord role)
- Control of planets (Regent role)
- At the end of the game:
- Final victory count of planets (Ending with Warlord or Explorer roles only)
- Full storage facilities
- Player with most marks
Game End
- When a player places his last Empire token to establish control of a planet sector
- Or when a player takes the last victory point from the pool
- Always play to the end of the current role chosen
